Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Binghamton receives mixed reviews, with many guests praising its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location. However, breakfast options are limited and some recent reviews cite issues with room upkeep, including stained bedding and a lack of cleanliness. Value remains a positive attribute for many.
Decent place. Wish the breakfast was open until 11 like most places but it’s only open until 9. Gym was ok. No transport service to the bus, so it’s going to take me an hour to walk. The whole point I booked this place was for the breakfast but it closed too early.
I’m giving this place a 3 star mainly because of their limited selection for breakfast (only bread and waffles, no eggs/bacon) and because the bed I was given was stained on the blanket. There’s also a strange linted towel in the bathroom meant for wiping your face if you have makeup on, but let’s be real, i’m NEVER putting that thing near my face. i’ll attach a picture of it below and you’ll see why. overall cleanliness of the room itself was good. staff were not very helpful when i had an issue with the tv and i ended up having to deal with a buffering tv myself. room comes with a microwave and a mini fridge, typical stuff. water does have softener in it so it feels like there’s always soap on you and you can’t get it off. complementary cucumber water near front desk, but that stuff tastes like soapy water and would not recommend unless you love cucumber water… overall had a good stay and would probably return if i had to go back to binghamton.
My husband and I stayed here 2/7-2/8 just a quick stayover, to visit a friend near by. Everything was good, the only thing is the beds were not comfortable at all. We both did not sleep well at all it was a rough night. Also the shower curtains need some cleaning.
The rooms and the location were great. My issue was the breakfast, no eggs or fruits when I stayed there on 1/11/26. Had to eat plain waffles, yogurt and cereal. I don’t know what happened but you need to have some sort of protein like eggs and definitely fruits.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and common areas were very clean, and the building is clearly well maintained. The breakfast was very good and a great start to the day. Everything was in perfect order and there were no complaints. I definitely recommend this hotel
I stopped here for one night on the way home from a road trip I was taking and it was honestly the nicest hotel I stayed at during the entire trip. Staff was very friendly and professional. The provided breakfast was very basic but still decent. Highly recommend if you are in the area!
I am writing to compliment the service at Microtel, especially CINDY. I had previously stayed at this hotel and had a good experience. We booked again for a busy weekend. We ran in to some issues, but Cindy at the desk was so patient, helpful and kind and helped resolve our issues. It is because of her service that we will visit this hotel again in the future.
This location was perfect for us, just along our way to Boston. The best room for the best price - amazing value! Clean, large, all the best places to hang things, desktop for 2, lots of plug-ins, little kitchenette, privacy wall detail by the bed, TV worked great without any effort to navigate. Friendly staff and a great little breakfast too! Wow!! You can’t beat this place - kudos to managers and all staff!! Thank you!
This Microtel hotel in Binghamton provided us with an excellent Stay in all ways! All the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was very clean, the water pressure was good, the bed’s comfortable. We can’t say enough about this hotel, very affordable rates and we will be going back! Highly recommend.
It was fine. The late night staff was friendly but a little confusing explaining things (after I'd been driving for hours). Breakfast was uninspiring but got the job done. The room had a variety of different dim lights/lamps, which I liked for my very quick stay, but could be a drawback for other types of trips - I didn't find any bright direct light in the room. The hall, on the other hand, was so intensely lit, it seemed like a hospital hall just with crappy carpet. Again, it was fine. I felt safe and slept well. But I wouldn't give it any awards for spaciousness or charm.
