This property is inconsistent, offering affordable, pet-friendly rooms with generally clean facilities, but guests frequently report uncomfortable beds, unreliable Wi-Fi, maintenance issues like broken A/C, and noise disturbances.
We always stay here when visiting my parents, first just because they accept dogs off all sizes, but now because they have impressed us with their service time and time again. The young women who works front desk during the day and the gentleman with the purple hair in the evenings are always SO helpful with any issues we've encountered. They're truly welcoming! I adore the house service staff, they're absolute peaches! They're so friendly, hardworking, and they always make me feel at home. We'll keep coming back here.
Pretty uneventful, with the exception of the girl next to us screaming at her kid 24/7 and the kid crying hysterically non-stop all day and night. And there's a random loud banging from above us still not sure what that was. And lastly there's the dog that's huge that was in the room on the other side of us that would howl, and howl and howl, and bark so loudly all night long.... I put a note on the door for them to not disturb me that I didn't need room service in the morning and what is the guy do he knocks on the door at like 8:00 in the morning, so ignore thinking I'm good because I put a note on the door, but no, he then lets himself in and says hey hello are you sleeping you need to clean your room
Nice, clean and quite place to crash in for a night or few. Easy check in process they do ask about your debit or credit card number and expiry date to hold the reservation. They will not charge you any additional charges except 75 dollar security deposit which is refundable at the check out. The rooms are very clean and cozy. Service was great.
Rooms seem very average. There was a working mini fridge, internet, and A/C. Bedding was clean and bathroom seemed fine to me, but my wife disagreed and felt the place wasn't clean enough. Interpret as you will. The main problem here is the location. There seemed to be a trailer park very close by and a lot of unsavory types lurking about the area. As soon as we pulled around back to find our room there was a couple people that looked like they were smoking out of makeshift pipe or bong. Nobody gave us any trouble or anything but my wife said she felt uneasy and wanted to leave first thing in the morning. Maybe just the time of year I visited but the cost of a double bed room was over $200 all in. Way too much for a place like this. I would have felt okay in $70-$90 range, but definitely not what we paid. Unfortunately we had our two small dogs with us and couldn't find a room at any other place nearby that was pet friendly. There are more places but they were booked up when we visited. The staff seemed friendly and there were no problems to speak of. Nevertheless, my wife's opinion of the place was less than mine. I can see it being okay in pinch at a lower price, but we probably won't stay here again.
I am loathe to write an unfavorable review for a locally owned business. I feel that this is a business that is a franchise, but it is locally owned. Unfortunately the beds are unbelievably uncomfortable, the sheets are scratchy, I could hear every other door in the hall open and close as though it was my own, the towels are also scratchy and limited and the pillows are old lumpy and horrible. (Brung your own) I bought dog beds for my pets that are more comfortable. Although we had the air conditioning running almost the whole time, it was hot and sticky in our room. If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep after a long trip, this is probably not the place for you. I felt as though I was an unwanted guest in a stranger‘s home rather than a welcomed weary traveler and paying guest. That being said, I won’t stay here again unless some changes are made to make it more hospitable. Positive points would be: that you can get a shower, bring your dog , there are laminate floors so at least there’s no disgusting carpet, there is a refrigerator and microwave in the room, free wifi and parking is free. I truly hope the owners make some changes to make this place more a comfortable, welcoming stay for their guests.
This place was by far the worst I stay three days here. And the cable and WiFi kept going out every five to ten minutes and stay for sometimes as long as 20 minutes.. so I pretty much sat in the room and stared at the walls. Unfortunately I had no where else to go because my landlord paid for it because our apartments had code violations and was told cannot stay there anymore until fixed so we were homeless. The walls in the room were stained with look liked food, at least I’m hoping. The place outside are full of loafers. I didn’t feel safe. Thankfully I had my dog with me. Who intimidated them all. It is a complete waste of money and charged an arm and a leg for absolutely nothing! Check in was at 2:00 pm and I went there and I had to wait because they were short staffed. ???? never ever again please beware all.
Location is convenient, just next to Newark International airport and that is the only plus point. Rooms are spacious and old. Everything was broken or not working including the power sockets. Coffee machines was out, reason was cups were not available and they have ordered it long time back. If we could bring in our own cups, they could prepare and give it. In our first room, washbasin was not draining the water, so we were moved to another room. This was no better, non of the power sockets were powered, toilet roll holder was broken, mattress frame was noisy. When asked at the reception, they were friendly and we were given $20 back to our account. But that one night stay at this motel was not a good experience.
A budget-friendly room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was adequate, however could have used a deep clean as there were stains on the bathroom wall (mostly by the light switch where lots of hands go). All of the fixtures, linens, and the flat surfaces were clean. The whole motel had a stuffy smell and dim appearance overall. We quickly found out that this is a pet-friendly motel because there was a loud barking dog close to our room that was disruptive through the night. At one point in the middle of the night an alarm went off (sounded like a fire-alarm), but shut back off quickly. There was a lot of noise travel between rooms and through the hallways. We ended up putting white noise on to play for the rest of the night to drown it out. I'm not saying every night would be this way, but it was rough for us. Staying here is a gamble, I will pay a little more to stay elsewhere.
Was exactly what we expected. Rooms were clean, bed was fine, walls very thin. Good price. There wasn't shampoo or conditioner and could have used more TP but overall would stay again.
The front desk lady was awesome.. very friendly and outgoing.. rooms were clean and everything in the room worked good. Didn't see any holes or anything like that so if im back in the area will definitely be back....
