The Hampton Inn & Suites Binghamton/Vestal receives mixed reviews, with a recent closure impacting guest experiences. While many appreciate the cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location, particularly for accessing Binghamton University and nearby restaurants, significant concerns stem from unexpected cancellations due to hotel closures, lack of communication, and issues with room quality, including cold temperatures and uncomfortable beds.
We had the pleasure of booking a king one bedroom with living room. It was spacious and a great bed. The hotel was clean, service was great and breakfast was tasty. Front desk assistance was efficient, effective and so pleasant. Thanks.
This has to be the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at! I feel like I'm staying at a Days Inn. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk Aaron had zero hospitality or customer service skills!!! He would not accept my tax exempt forms, which i was told to bring when I called the location prior to making the reservation & he did nothing or provided anything to help the situation. And never once during the check in was i offered a complimentary water. This is not the traditional Hampton Inn I'm used to staying at nor the values & customer service they provide at many other locations i stay at.
Overall not a bad Hampton. Little dated and behind with the tech. Rooms are decent and the hotel itself is nice. Only thing is it's a little inconvenient being back up on a hill.
I am Hilton Honors member and stay a Hiton hotels across the country and my stay at this location was disappointing. I found hairs all over the bathroom and in the bathtub. There was no closet in the room. I did eventually find a small nook behind a curtain. I was cold in the room because the air unit was blowing cold air even though the thermostat was turned up. And there were no extra blankets in the room. They ran out of cernain items at breakfast and were slow to refill other items. When I spoke with someone at reception they weren't friendy and it was as if I was bothering them. I usually stay at a different hotel when I am in the area and decided to try this one because of the location. I found this part of town is full of hotels and certainly have a choice next time. Update: I was contacted by a representative who listened to my grievances and took note. I may try this location again when I am there.
Ok I'm a bit biased because I LOVE HAMPTON INNS. But this may be the nicest, cleanest, brightest Hampton Inn I've ever been too. Spacious and upgraded rooms Great water pressure in the shower Big towels Comfy beds And chargers and usb that actually work. Good breakfast 24 hour coffee Stocked pantry The property is so nice and his has every amenity that a commercial hotel chain offers. Plus they have so much around it. The staff was professional, courteous and very helpful.
It was an ok stay. The bathroom looks cheaply put together, and down along the shower it looks moldy, inside the sink in the front side hole it looks moldy. The bed is hard and very uncomfortable. The pillows are too soft. I slept fairly ok surprisingly though. But, woke up with a headache and stiff back.
Recommend staying here: Yes Excellent price for good overall quality. This hotel is still completing some renovations to get back up to truly three-star quality, but management’s emphasis on customer satisfaction is obvious.
I stayed in this hotel for about 2 weeks. I heard an overnight zoo there on multiple occasions. I also heard what sounded like reckless endangerment upstairs. Pool was freezing but operable I guess. An alarm acquittal went off one morning towards the end of my stay and it caused the most intense and horrible pain in my ears, an extra siren went off... Finally, I found what appears to be a toenail clipping firmly planted in the center of a piece of bread I'd ripped up and stored in the fridge. Some of the staff weren't that kind, but a few were. Note: I called and emailed the Manager, per her request below, but haven't heard anything back yet.
This hotel is clean, staff is always friendly and welcoming, the breakfast staff are always so nice and they put their heart into their work. When you walk in it’s always decorated so beautifully by Joanne. It is located on the top of a hill of picturesque Vestal, NY
The hotel is very pretty and in a nice area. It is central to a lot of different activities and locations. Lots of good restaurants nearby and obviously next to Binghamton University. The only drawback was, the beds were very hard. Other than that, the gym, the breakfast, the staff, the rooms were all good.
