The Comfort Inn & Suites consistently receives negative reviews, primarily citing issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Recurring problems include unpleasant odors, stained linens, plumbing malfunctions, and billing errors. While some guests have praised the bed comfort and a few staff members, the overwhelming feedback indicates a significant need for improvement across multiple areas.

Awful hotel. Smelly. They just slapped paint and renamed it from a sketchy best western to a comfort inn. Same owners. Same awful staff. Same smelly rooms. Same dirty sheets. They can’t afford anything, yet they charge an arm and a leg for the awful living conditions. I would wish my worst enemy staying here. Go to the red roof inn, la Quinta, or anything else but this.

Awful hotel. First: THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE BODY WASH! THEY PUT LOTION IN THE SHOWER...... the shower drain does not drain, so you get to shower in a huge puddle of water!! At least you get both a bath and a shower.... Plus the tub comes pre-stained, all brown, instead of the normal white color... The towels also come folded, with stains on them! How nice! The sheets you sleep on, guess what? Yep, you guessed it... More stains.... The sheet that protects the mattress.... more and more stains... The TV? Do not worry it is from 2006. The room smells musty too... This used to be a Best Western hotel. They did absolutely nothing but redecorate and paint over the moldy walls. You can just tell this hotel is awful.... Stay far far away... The Marriott is worth every penny.

I booked this 5 months in advance, and because it was SUNY Binghamton graduation weekend, the prices went from about $110 a night to $320 a night (before taxes). While I understand supply and demand, this is a ridiculous price for the hotel's poor quality. It should never cost more than $120 a night for the low-quality, run-down facility. My biggest issue is that when I checked in, I was charged $385 (it should have been $360), which supposedly included the $25 hold fee on the card. Ten minutes later, I was charged an individual $25 hold fee. We told the desk and they 'corrected it' by charging the $360 room fee. But they never refunded the first charge. I asked at the desk again about the duplicate charges, and they said they would share the issue with the night manager. At 11 PM, I was charged ANOTHER $25 hold fee (making it 4 charges for a single night). I told the front desk again (at 12:30 AM) again about the duplicate and was told there was no night manager, and the manager in the morning would fix things. In the morning, I told the desk I had FOUR charges, I was told it would be fixed, and was asked to send screenshots of my charges. Which I did, to a GMAIL account. Bizarre for a national brand. When I talked to the morning desk person (who checked me in the day before) I had a snarky reply. This is not empowered customer service. I should have been credited immediately. As an aside, the room one floor below me was charged $220 a night - as quoted by someone at the desk who got our room numbers mixed up. Finally, after checking out, and a few hours later, the WRONG overcharge was credited back. I still have a $385 charge and TWO $25 holds. You can't make this up. I now have a dispute on my credit card because of the extra charges. Besides the fiasco with my credit card, the hotel was poor. The stench of sewer as we got off the elevator was nauseating. It lasted for hours. The bathroom faucet looked filthy (it was years of water stains). There was overpaint on the door and poorly painted touch ups throughout. The parking lot was a driving hazard filled with potholes. The hotel is poorly maintained. The only saving grace was that the bed was comfortable.

This was by far the worst Comfort Inn I’ve ever stayed in! I only gave 1 star because you can’t give ZERO. We reserved a handicapped room and called to say it needed to be wheelchair accessible. Not once were we informed he would not be able to bathe. There were hand bars and an adjustable shower HOWEVER, no bench in the tub! We should have been informed there was not a walk in shower or seating. The parking lot is a land mine and the “ramp” to the back door is not at a ADA compliant grade and has seam gaps with the ground making it extremely dangerous for someone in a wheelchair. Not to mention the back door lock is broke allowing for anyone off the street to wander in. The lobby is missing a strip of tiles making it hard for a wheelchair to maneuver and dangerous for those able to walk. The handicap room is also not ADA compliant we had to move furniture for the wheel chair to even get to the bed. The only thing decent about the hotel was the staff was friendly. Will NEVER. Stay with CHOICE HOTELS as their customer service is unhelpful in resolving these issues.

If I could give 0 stars I would Stuff is broken in my room(lights, random metal bits near window) Wifi dosnt work!! Even thoe it shows pictures of the pool there is infact no pool here(half the reason we chose this hotel) Basic cable without a smart tv or anything so can't use my paramount or nothing Heat set at 70(at home we set it at 74) is unbearablely hot Had someone sitting outside my window(im on the 3rd floor) bumping music until after 10pm called the front desk they said they would deal with it so I watched out the window and 10 min later I called the law because they were still out there bumping music and they were able to sit out in the parking lot bumping for another 15 min before they decided to go inside of this hotel You can see right above and below the doors to the rooms because they are either hung incorrectly The locks on the door are missing screws meaning they arnt very secure and to boot non of the doors on the side or back of the building actually require a keycard to get in so anyone can walk in and break down a door and make all the noise in the world killing you and leave without anyone trying to intervene We will never be back And considering me and my wife have always stayed with comfort I think we know what to expect and this ain't it!!

I’m writing this review from a different hotel, that we had to get last minute because this hotel was absolutely terrible. After a long drive up, we got there around midnight and were placed in a room with no latch. It also reeked of cigarettes and we had a wedding the next day so we asked to change rooms. The woman at the front desk was very unfriendly but placed us in a different room, but this one didn’t lock at all! The door was completely broken, and there was a giant gap where you could see in! We are two girls, traveling alone in a place we’ve never been. Of course we want to have our door at least lock! This is the bare minimum! A locking door. That is all I was looking for and they couldn’t even give us that. Ridiculous. Spend your money elsewhere, or spend the little extra money for your safety.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. Although the online search showed a price of $105, the room was actually $199. Front desk service was adequate, not friendly but also not rude. The room was OK, it was clean enough until I found a hair that wasn't mine in my bed the next morning...yuck. And there was no shower curtain for the bathtub. The whole hotel had a very impersonal and beige feel to it, no colour, sparse decor. It was very much like the sleep clinic I spent a night in, which I described to people as feeling like a no frills low budget hotel. I do not recommend for the price that they charge. We stayed in a much nicer Comfort Inn in MA for less money the night before.

I’m not entirely sure what all the negative reviews are about. The room was clean and well kept. No odors, the whole place actually smelt great. For a hotel that allows pets I was very pleasantly surprised. Tile and vinyl floor made staying with pets incredibly easy. Our room had towels, hand towels, and clean white sheets. Ac worked perfectly. The hotel also seems to have been updated at least within the last 10 years. It looked very modern and well maintained. Breakfast was also pretty solid. I worked with 2 front desk woman and both were very lovely! Housekeeping respected our privacy with our four legged friends and we appreciated it a ton. The only complaints I really have are that it was a touch pricey with 3 pets total, but, I understand that. and, that the tub was clogged , however, the woman working at the front desk made note of it quickly and put a work order into maintenance. With hotel prices these days, all and all it wasn’t a bad experience by any stretch of the imagination. I would for sure stay here again!

No tissues. No toilet paper. My room was left wide open, with the television at high volume, and the toilet was running because whoever entered my room does not know how to flush a toilet. Thank Gd none of my stuff was stolen but I felt absolutely violated. The front desk girl was very nice and said she is not in control but she will tell housekeeping they cannot leave the room open. They never gave me fresh towels. They made the bed and the blanket had a stain on it. According to choice I was supposed to be billed 102 per night plus tax.i am handed a paper that indicates 102 the first night and 117 for the second. Meanwhile they have me initial all potential threatening consequences if I messed up the room but the gave me a room with a damaged bathroom door, no tissues,an almost empty roll of toilet paper ,a dirty shower curtain.A blanket with a stain on it They left my room open so anyone could have walked in and stolen my stuff while I was at Binghamton for orientation. Good thing I returned as quickly as possible to my left open room so I could report it. I wanted something better but everything was booked so "choice," this place was not my first choice and as far as I am concerned they are a disgrace and are lucky I did not call the police to report how my room was left. Shame on you . I don't want to come back here ever again Disgusting and so expensive for nothing and I mean nothing. So many bad reviews and nothing changes from what I can see. The same fake response of I'm sorry you feel this way or what is it? I'm sorry for your experience. Stop being sorry and care about your customers.

First of all, shows a pool and there is no pool!!! Walked into our room, daughter used the bathroom and the entire bathroom was flooded! Went down, they did get us a new room… The breakfast was terrible, the ice marker doesn’t work, our fridge wouldn’t turn on!! Absolutely not worth 170.00 a night!! Learned an important lesson, will pay extra to stay in a better hotel!
