Quality Inn & Suites Binghamton consistently receives negative reviews citing significant cleanliness issues, persistent maintenance problems like hot water failures and broken amenities, and consistently poor customer service. Guests report encountering unsanitary conditions, including mold, bugs, and damage, alongside issues with unresponsive staff and difficulty resolving booking changes. Value is low given the extensive problems.
Stayed for 4 nights, meanwhile the housekeeper never came to my room and asked if I needed toilet paper/towels/wash clothes. Then the fire alarm kept going off and they said that they were just testing it but it went off for about an hour.the breakfast was ok just coffee toast apples cereal and waffles. I guess you really get what you pay for. Now the bathroom in the lobby was horrible. There were holes in the baseboards of the bathroom and then ceiling was discolored from water damage.
Room was good and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was not good. Waffles, bread. And cereal. And coffee. My grand daughter had nothing to drink. They claim full Breakfast and fell very short on delivery.
I went to pay for my room asked about the 250 deposit if they charged it. I was told that if I ask they charge I am not allowed to ask just sign. I said but I just want to know I understand but and was interrupted told we can charge or not charge you ask questions then we charge. This kept going on they were rude my fiance came on and told him he was being rude. The service provider told us to leave refused service. I just wanted toale aire if there was actually going to be hold on credit card for 250 was all. I had every right to ask. Will never go back. Stayed previously it was fine not this time.
Extremely unacceptable stay. This property failed to provide basic hotel amenities. I was given five different rooms due to multiple issues, including non-functioning key cards, broken thermostats despite 20°F weather, inoperative TVs, and lighting failures. Most importantly, there was NO HOT WATER. After discovering only lukewarm water late in the evening, I reported it to the front desk. Staff attempted to resolve the issue unsuccessfully. A hotel charging guests without providing hot water is unacceptable. Additionally, vending machines were non-functional. This stay was an emergency stop due to road issues, and choosing this hotel over others in the Binghamton area was a serious mistake. I was forced to drink sink water because of the vending machine issue. I am requesting a refund for the remainder of my stay as of December 28, 2025. This was the worst hotel experience I have had, and I would not recommend this property until it is DEEP cleaned, and SEVERELY renovated.
This hotel appears to be an old apartment building that is rundown. The "gym" is at best a subpar home gym. The hot water ran out as soon as I got in the shower. The breakfast is prepackaged gas station items and the hotel is in disrepair including terrible plumbing.
I was hung up on twice when asking if I could cancel my reservation. They called me hours later, I missed the call, I called back and told the man that answered that I just missed a call from them and that earlier someone hung up on me. He hung up! I call back again and ask why he hung up on me and he stated because if somebody else there has hung up on me, then he will as well because they feel as though I am confusing them. Um, WHAT?!?! He did finally transfer me to the manager (the same man that hung up on me earlier), and he asked if he had my permission to cancel the reservation, I said yes, he said it was done. What HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Because English is not their first language, they feel like you are trying to confuse them when you speak to them. I was polite and calm, but that clearly doesn’t matter. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this hotel!
I stayed here for the weekend, and what I'll say is you get what you pay for. It was the cheapest option I could find in/near the Bing area, so I wasn't expecting much. The room was clean enough, but dingy (and there were quite a few stains on the carpet as well). The breakfast was nothing special; very few options. Service was also nothing special; not bad, but not great. The location was decent. There were restaurants and fast food joints, and a shopping center nearby, and the hotel was just a short walk away from the 8 bus line, which takes you right to Downtown Binghamton.
We attempted to stay at this hotel a few weeks ago. This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in. Booked 2 rooms for the night. The entire place smells, is musty and moldy. Our feet stuck to the floors as we walked on them. The ceiling tiles were all hanging down in the hallways. The one room looked like it was never even cleaned ( stained sheets, no toilet paper, tissues or even soap). We were all afraid to even sleep on the beds. The outlet next to the bed was in terrible condition. The wall around it was cracked and patched poorly. And the outlet itself looked unsafe to use. It was dirty unstable and looked like a fire hazard. The rooms were so awful that none of us were willing to sleep in the beds because we were afraid of bed bugs. We ended up leaving and having to book 2 more rooms at a nicer hotel on the same road. The people that checked in right before us also left saying they could not stay because it was disgusting. As of now we still have not been reimbursed. I would give negative stars if possible.
We only booked here because we were in a pinch and it was the only available option. Then our travel plans changed and we had to modify our booking from two nights to just one. I had already paid for two nights. When I called the hotel to make the change, whoever I spoke to was not helpful at all and was very vague as to whether we’d only be charged for one night/whether the reservation could be cancelled. My husband called back, and they continued to be unhelpful in making the change and just kept repeating that we needed to bring our ID and a card the day we arrived and then we would pay for the reservation. When we asked for clarification to ensure we would not be charged for the night we weren’t staying there, the person repeated the ID thing again, very slowly, and asked if we understood, then added that if we kept asking the same question they would cancel our reservation altogether. That they “were very busy and don’t have time for nonsense calls”. Needless to say, we cancelled the whole reservation. If I could give that experience negative stars, I would. What a joke.
Room smelled musty. Sheets were stained with smoke and burn holes in them. Tried to use outlet next to bed and all the lights went out. Old coffee pod left in the coffee machine. Tv only gave 3 channels clearly and room telephone did not work. Will never stay here again!
