West Branch Angler & Resort consistently receives excellent reviews, particularly for its stunning location on the West Branch of the Delaware River and its outstanding fishing experiences. Guests rave about the knowledgeable guides, well-equipped fly shop, comfortable cabins, and delicious food, making it a popular destination for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. While there are occasional mentions of price and restaurant processes, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
My wife and I had a very relaxing and memorable stay. The Executive cabin was very beautiful and comfortable. The shower was nice and the beds comfortable. Danny at the front desk was a pleasure to work with. My guide Jared was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. He taught me streamer fishing and I landed two browns despite very high water levels. He also does Euro Nymphing which is somewhat uncommon on the west Branch but worth the effort.
Multiple families gathering place for more than 10 years. Visiting every year with my kids and grandkids. Lots of fun during the day and huge ? in the pit at night. Staff is great and always helpful. Outstanding food in the restaurant and great fly ? fishing. Cabins are very clean and supplied with everything that we need...
Truly top notch service in the fly shop. The two gents in there this am were very attentive and gave me a great suggestion on fly line to go with my specific rod when I was getting a new reel - hats off to them because they cast wonderfully in tandem. A group that knows what they’re talking about both with gear and river activity. They’ve earned my continued support. Whether you need a new rod outfit or a few flies, I urge all readers to look no further and support WBA!
I’ve been coming here for almost 30 years. The staff and cabin accommodations as well as the fishing is outstanding
Great place if you like fly fishing. Easy access to the river. Nice people every time. Clean, well taken care of always.
We loved our stay as always. Fishing was tough with the high, fast water, we didn't catch anything this trip but thoroughly enjoyed our stay anyway!!! We made our reservation for next spring, hopefully better conditions for fishing. So glad our fishing friends recommended you!!??????
Had a great experience at West Branch this week. Jake and Ben at the Fly Shop were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Guide Kevin S was patient and professional as we successfully pursued Brown Trout on the fly.
Everything you wanted cabins were spacious, plenty of river to fish on. You're within walking distance of the Delware river. Just bring your own grilling stuff and food since the location is remote prices are going to match that.
My wife and I had a lovely stay over Mother’s Day weekend this year. Highly recommended— we’ll be back! Guide service: Best part of the stay was the guide! We floated for two full days with Matt Alley. What a great fishing guide! Super patient and helpful while being extremely knowledgeable of the river and advanced fishing techniques. We caught a ton of fish on flies he ties himself. Highly recommend him, give the shop a call and request him before he’s booked up for the season. Fly shop: Well equipped with friendly and knowledgeable staff. They took really good care of us and helped my wife get set up with waders and boots. Cabins: Small, cozy, rustic, and generally nice. It’s not a five star hotel, but they more than get the job done. Bonus points for beds being surprisingly comfy. Food: We only had the breakfast one day. The food setup was buffet style in a small enclosed room. The setting was odd, but the food was surprisingly good. Standard pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, muffins, and some fresh fruit.
